Make one-to-one Direct Connect calls instantly, or create quick group calls with up to 10 members for fast team coordination. Larger teams can use Group Connect calling to reach up to 30 members, while Talkgroup calling accommodates up to 250 members. For broadcast communications, send messages to as many as 500 members at once.

Beyond voice, this app delivers secure messaging through Push-To-X. Send pictures, videos, text messages, files, and audio recordings directly to contacts or groups. Share your location in real time when coordination requires it—useful for field teams, dispatch scenarios, or rapid response situations.

T-Mobile Direct Connect offers three service tiers to match your needs. The standard tier includes direct calling, group calling, broadcast calling, and secure messaging. Business Critical tier adds emergency calling and area-based dynamic talkgroups, supporting up to 3,000 members for large organizations. Mission Critical PTT provides advanced features like talkgroup and user profiles, remote user check capabilities, operational status messaging, and both ambient and discreet listening modes—ideal for public safety and mission-critical operations.

Before activating the app, ensure T-Mobile Direct Connect service has been added to your T-Mobile line. Once you're set up, enable location and GPS access, allow contact list permissions, and turn on push notifications so you never miss an incoming call or message.

Keep in mind that running GPS in the background continuously will use significant battery power. Manage your location sharing settings based on your operational needs to extend battery life during long shifts or events.
